Spent my Saturday at suntec smoothie king, studying. Completed macro -which took my 2 hours to understand about fiscal policy and budget deficit, it's really difficult when it comes to applying to real life situations especially the case studies. It's easy to understand but difficult to apply. I guess this kinda means that I haven't fully comprehended the information..??? Oh well, I'll try and read through again tomorrow- BA and OB. I'm pretty scared for OB because I'm not really a theory person sigh. I need things to make sense to me so that I can understand it better. 

Anyway, had lunch at soup spoon today and I had a salad which felt really fattening. Salad + carbs, not really my thing. Tasted good though, which sort of worries me cos everything that tastes good is probably high in caloric levels sigh.

After studying, I surprised Brandon by bringing him to lady m! I knew he wanted to go to lady m cos we created a list of cafés to go cafe hopping and he suggested lady m because they're really famous for their crepe cake! So I brought him there (even though he treated me hehe) and here's our verdict:

Over priced (7.5 per slice without 17% tax+ SC)

too sweet (only the crepe, it tasted like it was DROWNED in caramel. After 2 bites we were SICK of it. On another hand, the strawberry shortcake was bland.. or maybe it was just in contrast with the crepe cake so it "tasted" bland -contrast effect for perception errors HEHE-) 

creamy (way too much cream)

overall just blegh. 

It's such a waste because they looked so appealing. Expected so much more from them especially because they're pretty famous and people rate them a 4.5/5. Extremely disappointing, I would personally rate them a 1/5 -- if it wasn't for how pretty the cakes looked, it would've been a 0. 

So many better cakes out there to eat. And cheaper. Id rather eat four leaves strawberry shortcake than their's ugh.

Can't continue ranting about it or the post will be too long.

But if you want to give it a visit and see (or taste, in this case) for yourself, go ahead :-) maybe we just ordered the wrong cakes! Or it might be to your liking?

We're actually thinking about going back to give them a second chance.. This time we might order their green tea cake which is their seasonal cake. Maybe they might be able to redeem themselves, who knows. But the price of it just isn't that worth it, in my opinion. Hm, oh well!
